After many years of comparatively great stability in stock corporation law, the AktR\u00c4G 2009 and the GesR\u00c4G 2011 have brought about far-reaching changes which have adapted the law of stock corporations to the requirements of modern economic life, taking into account European legal requirements. Taking these innovations into account, the handbook of the stock corporation deals with the law of stock corporations in a practical and scientifically sound manner and spans the range from the choice of legal form, the founding steps and options for drafting the statutes, to the general meeting and the company&#8217;s bodies, to reorganization steps including capital measures and tax aspects and corporate law. The insolvency and dissolution of the company, the IPO and the increasingly important issues of corporate governance and compliance with regard to the capital markets are also discussed. Renowned authors from science and consulting practice present the most important areas of law in individual articles.
