In addition to rising labor costs, the construction industry has also been struggling with massive increases in material prices, supply bottlenecks and global crises for several years. Particularly if a fixed price has been agreed between the client and contractor, increases in the price of materials can lead to a previously lucrative transaction suddenly turning into a considerable loss for the contractor.
